e-Reception Book Dashboard


The e-Reception Book dashboard is an online tool that allows you to easily see who is present on-site at any time. It provides a fully searchable history of your visitor and staff check-ins.


From the e-Reception Book dashboard, you can also edit your branding, customise your e-Reception Book check-in flows and turn on additional features. e-Reception Book gives you a few different options for checking in visitors and staff, allowing you to choose which ones work best for your workplace.



1) Log in

You can log in to the e-Reception Book dashboard at https://ereceptionbook.com/login with the supplied email address and password.

2) Downloading the app.


When your iPad arrives, you will need to download the e-Reception Book application on the iPad device. e-Reception Book is a one-tap download, directly from the Apple App Store.



1) On the iPad, tap on the App Store icon and search for 'e-Reception Book - Visitor App’.




Important:

Apple requires all iPads to be signed in with an Apple ID to download apps from the App Store. If you are not signed in with an Apple ID, you will be asked to sign in to an existing Apple ID or create a new one before downloading the app.




3) Connect your iPad to the dashboard.

The first thing you'll see after opening e-Reception Book the first time is a screen asking for an authorisation code. Entering this code connects the iPad to your account and is generated from the e-Reception Book.

The iPad screen will look like the following:

Once logged into your e-Reception Book dashboard, please follow the below steps:



1) Click on settings and then devices


2) Click the new device button on the top right-hand side



3) Enter the 6-digit code that the iPad displays into the empty fields



Once the code has been entered, you will see a green authorisation message appear.




4) Enabling guided access

To prevent visitors from exiting e-Reception Book, you can use Guided Access which means a passcode has to be entered to leave the app.



On the iPad,



1) Go to Settings > Accessibility, then turn on Guided Access



If you’re using iOS version 12.1.1 or above, you will want to mark Display Auto-Lock as default.


2) Under Guided Access, set Display Auto-Lock as default:



When this is on: Guided Access will mirror the Auto-Lock setting in Display & Brightness.



When this is off: Guided Access will turn off the screen after 20 minutes of inactivity.



3) Whilst guided access is enabled, open e-Reception Book and triple-click the home button to start guided access and press Start.



Once this has been done, enter a passcode that your whole team will know/remember.





5) Companion app download

This feature is available for the Professional, Education and Care edition licenses ONLY.

Companion app is a smartphone app that gives employees the power of e-Reception Book straight to their phone device.



e-Reception Book Companion is a free download and is available from Apple's App Store and Google's Play Store.


For Apple:

  • All you need to do is search for “e-Reception Book Companion App”.

6) Label Printing


e-Reception Book allows you to print visitor badges, including your company logo, visitor name, and other contact details.

Please follow the steps below to connect e-Reception Book and start using a label printer if you wish to use label printing.

Before starting the below please make sure your printer is connected to the same WiFi as the iPad, you can find a user manual below for our supported printer.

Important: e-Reception Book supports the following label printer:

  • Brother QL-820NWB (AirPrint & IP printing) (User Manual)

    • with standard label size as 62mm x 100mm

1) Turn on Label Printing

If you go to ‘Dashboard > Settings > Account’ toggle on ‘Show Label Printing’ and save. Then refresh the webpage.



2) Create or use the Default label

If you then go to ‘Check-In > Label Printing’ from here you can either create your own label and save it or keep the default label already created.


3. Allocate Label to a Category

Once you have done that, visit ‘Check-In > Categories’ tick the box to ‘Enable Label Printing’ and select the desired label and press 'Update Category'




4. Connect the Printer to the iPad

AirPrint


AirPrint is Apple's branded technology for wireless printing between an Apple device, such as iPhone, iPad, or Mac, to an enabled printer.
