Staff Attendance Reporting

Learn how to view, monitor, and export staff attendance information within Custr.

Overview

The Staff Attendance Reporting feature allows organisations to monitor employee attendance activity across a selected date range.

Attendance reporting provides visibility into:

  • Check-in activity

  • Shift attendance

  • Late arrivals

  • Early departures

  • Missed shifts

  • Attendance duration

Attendance reports compare actual staff check-in activity against scheduled shifts where rota information exists.

This helps managers monitor:

  • Attendance compliance

  • Expected vs actual attendance

  • Staff punctuality

  • Missed attendance patterns

Important: Attendance Reporting vs Scheduling

Staff can still:

  • Check in

  • Check out

  • Use evacuation features

without having a scheduled shift assigned.

Scheduling is optional and is used to provide:

  • Expected attendance

  • Shift comparisons

  • Late arrival monitoring

  • Missed shift monitoring

Without rota information:

  • Staff attendance will still be recorded

  • Shift comparison metrics may not apply

How Late Arrivals Work

Late arrivals are only monitored when:

  • A shift exists within Staff Scheduling

  • The employee checks in after the scheduled start time

If no shift exists:

  • The employee can still check in normally

  • Late arrival reporting will not apply

How Missed Shifts Work

A shift is considered missed when:

  • A scheduled shift exists

  • The employee does not check in

Employees marked absent:

  • Will not count as missed shifts

  • Will instead appear as absent within attendance reporting

  1. Go to Directory > Employees

Important Notes

  • Attendance reporting works alongside Staff Scheduling

  • Staff can check in without having a scheduled shift

  • Scheduling data improves attendance comparison and reporting

  • Absences suppress late and missed shift alerts

  • Attendance reports are employee-specific

  • CSV exports use the currently selected date range
