To stop the iPad from automatically taking you to the settings page you need to enable the camera in the settings on the iPad.
How to Allow Camera Access in e-Reception For iOS
Open the Settings app
Scroll down to tap the Reception icon
Turn the Camera option on (green indicates the feature is enabled/on)
You can now reopen e-Reception
