Introducing our latest e-Reception Book update, 3.5.7.

We are thrilled to share with you that we have recently rolled out some exciting improvements to our latest version of e-Reception Book - version 3.5.7. These updates directly result from the feedback we have received from you, our valued customers, through our latest survey.


We took careful consideration of each comment and suggestion and identified key areas where we could make improvements to provide an even better experience.

Front screen button size options


In the latest app version, we have made a recent improvement to the front screen of e-Reception Book. Based on customer feedback and our own observations, we have added different options to increase the size of the secondary buttons, namely the "Residents," and "Staff," buttons.

Providing options to increase the button sizes, will make things clearer and easier for our users, particularly those who may have trouble accurately tapping on the wrong buttons.

This improvement reflects our commitment to continually improving our product based on user feedback and our own observations. Please see the before and after to see the difference in version 3.5.7.



(Default) Transparent Buttons (Regular Size)

On the front screen of the e-Reception Book, you will find two buttons in the top right corner, named "Residents" and "Staff". By default for all e-Reception Book accounts, these buttons are transparent and regular size.



Transparent Buttons (Larger Size)

The "Residents" and "Staff" buttons on the e-Reception Book's front screen will remain transparent but will be enlarged. To increase the size of the buttons, please follow the instructions provided below:

Once you have followed the provided steps, you will see that the buttons on the screen will look like the example screenshot below.



Non-Transparent Buttons (Regular Size)

On the front screen of the e-Reception Book, the "Residents" and "Staff" buttons will retain their original size but will no longer be transparent. To remove the transparency from the buttons, please refer to the instructions below:

Once you have followed the provided steps, you will see that the buttons on the screen will look like the example screenshot below.

Please Note: The button colours will match your Check In button colour to keep consistency.



Non-Transparent Buttons (Larger Size)

On the front screen of the e-Reception Book, the "Residents" and "Staff" buttons will no longer be transparent and will be larger in size. To remove the transparency and make the buttons bigger, please refer to the instructions below:

Please Note: The button colours will match your Check In button colour to keep consistency.



New offline device banner (dashboard)


The latest update (3.5.7) to e-Reception Book includes a new feature that will display a banner message to users when their iPad device is offline. We understand that internet connectivity can be intermittent at times, and it can be challenging to keep track of when a device is not connected. To address this issue, we have introduced a yellow banner on the dashboard that will appear when the iPad device is offline.


This banner serves as a visual cue for users to reconnect their iPad device to a Wi-Fi connection. When the device is offline, all check-ins and other activity will be stored on the device and will not sync with other devices or the dashboard until an internet connection is re-established.

If you see this yellow banner, we advise that you reconnect your iPad device to a Wi-Fi connection as soon as possible. Doing so will ensure that all activity is accurately recorded and synced with the dashboard and other devices connected to the e-Reception Book.



New Branding Changes


With the recent e-Reception Book branding change, we have taken diligent measures to ensure that every aspect of our application, dashboard, and companion app has been thoroughly updated with brand-new logos and icons.


Main App

Once you have updated to our latest version, you will see a new icon on your iPad device that looks like the image below.




Companion App

Once you have updated the companion app to our latest version on your smartphone device, you will notice a new icon that looks like the image below.
