Overview
The Branding section allows you to customise how Custr looks and feels across your check-in devices.
You can adjust:
Logos and background media
Colours and button text
On-screen wording and messages
Contactless check-in posters
This helps create a consistent and professional experience for your visitors.
Accessing Branding
To access Branding settings:
Go to Configuration → Settings
Select Branding
Branding Sections
Assets
Upload and manage visual elements used across your system:
Site Logo – Displayed on the device front screen
Email Logo – Used in email notifications sent from Custr
It is recommended to upload a separate email logo if your site logo is designed for a dark background (e.g. a white logo)
Email notifications typically use a light background, so a different version of your logo may display better
If no email logo is uploaded, the system will use your Site Logo by default
Background Image or Video – Shown on the check-in screen
Colours
Customise the visual appearance of your check-in screen:
Text and background colours
Button colours
Shadow styling
Additional options
Enable Transparency Mode
Makes staff and offsite buttons transparent
Use Colours for Contactless Check-In
Applies your selected colour to QR/contactless check-in
Expand App Buttons
Increases the size of staff and offsite buttons for better visibility
Device Wording
Customise the text displayed throughout the check-in experience.
You can edit:
Welcome Message – Displayed on the main screen
Check-In / Check-Out Button Text
Front Screen Disclaimer – Legal or informational text
Check-In / Check-Out Messages – Shown after completion
Feedback Message – Prompt shown during check-out
Email Field Disclaimer – Shown when entering an email
Education & Care specific options:
Custom teacher/class field labels
Custom late / leave button text
Custom offsite button text
Evacuation wording:
Evacuation title and subtitle
Evacuation notification messages
Poster (QR Check-In)
Customise the text displayed on your contactless check-in posters:
Title
Subtitle
Body text
This allows you to tailor instructions for visitors using QR codes.
How to Edit Branding
To update your branding:
Go to Configuration → Settings → Branding
Select the section you want to update
Make your changes
Click Save
Your updates will automatically apply to your devices.
Important Notes
Changes may require a device refresh to appear immediately
Background images/videos should be optimised for performance
Keep wording clear and simple for visitors
Branding applies across all connected devices
