How to download Readr

Apple Devices

To access Readr on your iPhone or iPad device, please follow the steps below to download and install the app.

1) Go to the App Store on your apple device.

2) In the search bar on the App Store, type in "Readr - Parcel & Asset Logging" and click the top result.

3) Once you have found the Readr app, click the "Get" button (This will be where the blue "Open" button is).


Android Device

1) On your android device, go to the Play Store.

2) Type "Readr" into the search bar and click on "Readr - Parcel & Asset Logging".

3) Once you have clicked on this, click "Install".


How to create an account

Dashboard

To create an account via the Readr dashboard, please follow the below steps:

Once you have completed the above steps, you will be taken to the Readr dashboard on your new account.


Readr App

To create an account via the Readr App, please follow the below steps:

1) On your mobile, click on the Readr app.

2) Click on "Create an account".

3) Enter the details for your account and once you are done, click "Register".

4) Once you have successfully completed the login process, you will gain immediate access to your Readr account.


How to add items to your account

Dashboard Upload (Individual Item)

If you would like to add an item to your account on the Readr dashboard, please follow the steps below:


Readr Application (Individual Item)

If you would like to add an item to your account via the Readr app, please follow the steps below:

1) Once you have opened the Readr app on your device, click the "Items" button at the bottom of the screen.

2) On the "Items" page, click the "+" symbol in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

3) Capture a photo and fill in the details of the new item you would like to create on your account. This will include details such as the item name, a unique item reference, where its located, etc.

4) Once you have input all of the details for the item you want to add, click "Create Item".





Dashboard Item Import (Multiple Items)

If you would like to add multiple items to your account on the Readr dashboard, please follow the steps below:

How to view your real-time inventory list of items

Dashboard

To view your real-time inventory list of items on the Readr dashboard, please follow the below steps:

From here, you will be able to see a real-time list of items on your screen. See the below screenshot for an example of what this will look like.


Readr App

To view your real-time inventory list of items on the Readr app, please follow the below steps:

1) Once you have opened the Readr app on your mobile, click the button "Items" at the bottom of the screen.

2) From here, you will be able to see a real-time inventory list of all the items with a coloured status if the item is present or signed out.

You can view all items by status if you tap on the 'In:' or 'Out;' text.


How to sign out items

Readr App

If you would like to sign out items on the Readr app, please follow the below steps:

1) Once on the item inventory view, click the name of the item you wish to sign out.

2) Fill in the details of the person using the signed-out item. Then, click "Continue".

3) The item recipient will need to provide their signature. Once they have done this, click "Sign Out".

If you would like to sign out items on the Readr dashboard, please follow the below steps:


Tag Scanning

With our convenient built-in camera feature, we provide you with the seamless capability to sign out and return items effortlessly. In just a few simple taps, you can utilise the power of our cutting-edge scanning technology. Follow the easy steps outlined below to make the most of this user-friendly functionality:

1) Go to the Readr app on mobile.

2) Ensure "Character Recognition" is turned on in the settings.

3) Next, you'll be required to locate the "abc" option situated at the top right corner of your screen and click on it. By doing so, the display will be transformed to resemble the following visual representation (as shown below).

Our scanning will read the fob text and create a digital tag for you to click.

4) After you have clicked the text, you will see this pop-up on your screen. Click "Sign Out".

5) Fill in the details of the item recipient. Then, click "Continue".

6) The item recipient will be required to provide their signature as confirmation. Once this step is completed, you can proceed by clicking the "Sign Out" button to finalise the process.


IMPORTANT: Tag scanning for signing out an item only functions properly when the fob consists of a single word.


How to return items

Readr App

If you would like to return an item using the Readr app, please follow the below steps:

1) Click the name of the item you wish to sign back in. You can search for the item using the search box or scroll down your inventory list.

2) The name of the item recipient will be automatically populated at the top e.g. Erin Lindsell. Enter the details in which the item is being returned too. In this example, Emma Playford is receiving the item back from Erin Lindsell.

Once this is done, capture a digital signature of the item recipient and click "Mark as Returned".


Dashboard

If you would like to return an item using the Readr dashboard, please follow the below steps:


Tag Scanning

1) Hover the Readr camera over the item tag in which you want to sign back in. Ensure that the 'abc' icon is turned on before actioning.

2) After you have clicked the text, you will see this pop up on your screen. Click "Sign In"

3) Enter the details of the staff member who's receiving the item from the recipient. Capture a digital siganture and click "Mark as Returned".


How to edit email templates on the Readr dashboard

Follow the below steps to see how you can edit email templates:

Once you have clicked "Emails", you will be taken to this page (see below). From here, you will be able to customise your email bouncebacks.

Once you are happy with the changes made, you can click "Save Emails" or if you'd like to revert back to how they were, you can click "Reset Default".


Dashboard overview statistics

The Readr dashboard provides a comprehensive view of stats for items. To access the overview stats for items, please follow the steps outlined below:

From here, you'll be able to see a complete overview of stats for items. This will look similar to the example below:


Item history page

Within the dashboard, you will find a history page for items. This page offers an overview of all the items added to the account within customisable time frames.

To view the history page for items, please follow the below steps:

Once you have clicked "History", you will see a page that looks similar to the one below. this will give you the history of all of the items within the time frame selected in the top right-hand corner.


How to add employees to your account

Adding employees to your Readr account allows you to allocate items to the employee they relate to. This allows you to track items within the workplace.

If you would like to add employees to your Readr account via the dashboard, please follow the below steps:




Dashboard Employee Import (Multiple Employees)

Please follow the below steps below to see how to add multiple employees to your account via import:

Once you have done this, they will be added to your list of employees on the Contacts page.

How to add locations

Set a location for your items once they have been logged. Every account must have at least one location, which we set to reception as default. However, you can add and change locations on this page.

Readr App

To add locations to your account via the Readr app, please follow the below steps:

1) Open the Readr app and click on the "Items" button in the bottom right corner.

2) On the "Items" page, click the "+" sign in the top right corner.

3) From here, go to where it says "Location" and click "Create New Location".

4) Once you have entered the name of the new location you would like to add, click "Save".
