How to download Readr

Apple Devices

To access Readr on your iPhone or iPad device, please follow the steps below to download and install the app.

1) Go to the App Store on your Apple device.

2) In the search bar on the App Store, type in "Readr - Parcel & Asset Logging" and click the top result.


3) Once you have found the Readr app, click the "Get" button (This will be where the blue "Open" button is).



Android Device

1) On your android device, go to the Play Store.

2) Type "Readr" into the search bar and click on "Readr - Parcel & Asset Logging".


3) Once you have clicked on this, click "Install".



How to create an account

Dashboard

To create an account via the Readr dashboard, please follow the below steps:

Once you have completed the above steps, you will be taken to the Readr dashboard on your new account.



Readr App

To create an account via the Readr App, please follow the below steps:

1) On your mobile, click on the Readr app.


2) Click on "Create an account".

3) Enter the details for your account and once you are done, click "Register".

4) Once you have successfully completed the login process, you will gain immediate access to your Readr account.


How to log an incoming parcel

When a parcel arrives at your workplace, follow the steps below.

1) Capture a photo (you can take up to 5 photos) of the parcel. Once you have taken the photos, click "Notify" in the bottom right corner.


2) Enter the name of the parcel recipient, where the parcel is located, which courier delivered the parcel and any additional notes. Then, click "Continue".

When you begin to type the parcel recipient's name, a dropdown list will appear for you to select. This list is populated from your employees list on the Readr dashboard



We recommend including additional notes on the parcel logging stage. This can be, for example, parcel condition.

4) You will receive this pop-up notifying you that Readr has logged the parcel and alerted the recipient of the parcel's arrival.



How to add couriers to your account

Dashboard

To add a courier via the Readr dashboard, please follow the below steps:






Readr App

To add a courier via the Readr app, please follow the below steps:

1) Once you have taken photos of the delivered parcel, click "Notify" in the bottom right corner.

2) You will be taken to the Parcel Notification page where you will see "Courier". Scroll through the dropdown until you see "Create New Courier" at the bottom and click on this button.

3) Enter the name of the courier you wish to add and click "Save". This will now be added to the list of couriers.


How to send a reminder for parcels

Dashboard

To send employees a reminder about their parcel delivery on the Readr dashboard, please follow the below steps:





Once selected, the parcel recipient will receive an email notification to remind them that their delivery is overdue collection.


How to mark a parcel as collected

Dashboard

To mark a parcel as collected through the dashboard, follow the steps below:





Marking a parcel as collected on the dashboard does not include signature capture. If you wish to capture a digital signature to authenticate the parcel collection, please use the Readr application.





Readr App

To mark a parcel as collected on the Readr application, follow the steps below.


1) Open the Readr app on your device and navigate to the parcels page using the bottom navigation bar. This will direct you to the Parcel log.




2) Choose the parcel you wish to designate as collected. This action will lead you to the screen for signature collection. Upon reaching this screen, capture a digital signature from the recipient of the parcel. This step enhances on-site security by verifying the identity of the person collecting the delivery.

Tap the red collect button to finalise the process.




3) After successfully collecting the parcel, Readr will automatically update, and you will find the delivery listed under the "Collected" section. Refer to the information below for further details.





How to edit email templates

Readr allows you to customise email templates for different types of emails. If you would like to edit your email templates on the Readr dashboard, follow the steps below:



Once you have clicked "Emails", you will be taken to this page (see below). From here, you will be able to customise your email bouncebacks.

Once you are happy with the changes made, you can click "Save Emails" or if you'd like to revert back to how they were, you can click "Reset Default".



Dashboard Overview Statistics

The Readr dashboard provides a comprehensive view of stats for parcels. To access the overview stats for parcels, please follow the steps outlined below:



From here, you'll be able to see a complete overview of stats for items. This will look similar to the example below:


Parcels History Page

Within the dashboard, you will find a history page for parcels. This page offers an overview of all the parcels added to the account within customisable time frames.

To view the history page for parcels, please follow the below steps:



Once you have clicked "History", you will see a page that looks similar to the one below. this will give you the history of all of the parcels within the time frame selected in the top right-hand corner.



How to add employees to your account

Adding employees to your Readr account allows you to allocate parcels to the employee they relate to. This allows you to track parcels within the workplace.

Dashboard Individual Employee

If you would like to add employees to your Readr account via the dashboard, please follow the below steps:






During the employee creation stage, you will come across a field labelled "Notifiable." This particular field allows you to send notifications to external employees whenever a parcel arrives for the specified individual. This feature is particularly significant if you frequently collect parcels on behalf of a colleague.

How to add locations

Set a location for your parcels once they have been logged. Every account must have at least one location, which we set to reception as default. However, you can add and change locations on this page.

To add locations to your account via the Readr dashboard, please follow the below steps:

To add locations to your account via the Readr app, please follow the below steps:

1) Open the Readr app, take a photo using the camera and then click "Notify".


2) From here, go to where it says "Location" and click "Create New Location".



3) Enter the name of the new location you would like to add and click "Save".
