What is Global?

Learn how Global helps organisations manage multiple Custr sites from a single dashboard, including shared employees, reporting, feedback and standardised settings.

Overview

Global is designed for organisations that manage multiple Custr sites.

Instead of managing each location independently, Global provides a central dashboard where administrators can monitor activity, standardise settings and manage information across all of their sites.

Typical organisations using Global include:

  • Multi-academy trusts (MATs)

  • Care home groups

  • Corporate organisations

  • Multi-site businesses

  • Local authorities

Global reduces administration by allowing common settings, branding and employees to be managed once and shared across your organisation.

What can I do with Global?

Depending on your permissions, Global allows you to:

  • View activity across all sites from a single dashboard

  • Generate reports covering multiple sites

  • Manage employees who work across multiple locations

  • Review visitor feedback across your organisation

  • Standardise visitor questions, categories and documents

  • Apply settings and branding to multiple sites at once

  • Configure default settings for newly created sites

How does Global work?

Global sits above your individual Custr sites.

Each site continues to operate independently, while Global provides a central place to manage information that is shared across your organisation.

For example, you can:

  • Create one employee and allow them to access multiple sites.

  • Generate reports covering every site in your organisation.

  • Update your branding and apply it to multiple locations.

  • Create visitor questions that are used consistently across every site.

Global permissions

Global is available to users with Global access.

There are two types of Global users:

Global Overview

Global Overview users can access the Global Dashboard to view organisation-wide information and performance across all linked sites.

They cannot make changes to global settings or standardised content.

Global Admin

Global Admins have full access to Global and can manage settings, employees, reports, feedback and standardised content across all linked sites.

Global Admins must also be administrators on the individual sites they manage.

Working with individual sites

Having Global access does not replace your individual site access.

You can switch between Global View and any site you administer at any time using the site selector.

This allows you to manage organisation-wide settings while still accessing each site’s own dashboard and features when required.
