Adding a Device to Your Dashboard

Learn how to connect an iPad device to your Custr dashboard for Check-In.

Overview

To use Custr Check-In, you will need to connect your iPad to your dashboard.

This allows the device to:

  • Display your check-in system

  • Sync visitor data with your dashboard

  • Appear in your device list for management

The device must be connected to the internet and may require network access permissions in restricted environments.


Add a Device

To connect your iPad to the Custr dashboard:

  1. Go to Configuration β†’ Devices

  2. Click Add a New Device

  3. A 6-digit code will appear on your screen

  4. On the iPad, open the Custr Check-In app

  5. Enter the 6-digit code shown on your dashboard

Once entered, your device will be successfully connected.

What Happens Next?

After connecting:

  • Your device will appear in your Devices list

  • You can configure settings for the device

  • The iPad will be ready to use for Check-In


Common Issue

The code is not working

  • Refresh the code and try again

  • Ensure the code is entered correctly

  • Check both devices have an internet connection

The device is not appearing on the dashboard

  • Confirm the code was entered successfully

  • Refresh your dashboard

  • Try reconnecting the device

Still not connecting (School or restricted networks)

Some networks (particularly in schools or organisations with strict IT policies) may block the connection.
