This article explains the Contactless Check-In feature within Custr and how to make QR code posters. Contactless check in allows your visitors to check in and out of your workplace via a QR code.

The contactless check-in feature mimics the iPad check-in and allows visitors to have the same check-in experience but on their phone.


How to enable contactless check-in for your account

To enable contactless check-in for your account, follow the steps below.

  1. On your dashboard, navigate to Configuration > Devices

  2. Click QRs

  3. Activate 'Dynamic QR'


How to use contactless check-in

Once the Dynamic QR code is activated, visitors can use their mobile device cameras to scan the QR code displayed on your iPad and check in.

How to create a QR code poster from your dashboard

A QR code poster enables you to display a QR code at various entry points of your building, making it easy for visitors to scan and check in.

To create a QR code poster, follow the steps below:

  1. On your dashboard, navigate to Configuration > Devices

  2. Click QRs

  3. Click the orange + icon in the top right corner

  4. Select QR

  5. Enter QR name and click Save

  6. Click Poster to download the QR code onto your computer

Please note: A poster uses a static QR code that remains the same, while a dynamic QR code updates every 30 seconds.


Once downloaded, your QR code poster will look similar to the one below.


How to edit your QR code poster

To edit your QR code poster, follow the steps below:

  1. On your dashboard, navigate to Configuration > Settings

  2. Click Branding

  3. Scroll down and click Poster

  4. Make your amendments

  5. Click Save
