Recommended Settings

Learn more about the settings we recommend for your MIS integration.

With an Education License, there are some key settings we recommend enabling to help you get the most out of the system. Adjusting these options will ensure that Custr is configured to best support your needs.


Reason Exact Match Required

If you are experiencing writebacks failing, we recommend enabling Reason Exact Match Required. This ensures that when students select Leaving Early or Arriving Late, they must choose from the available reasons rather than entering their own text, helping prevent writeback errors.

To enable Reason Exact Match Required, follow the steps below:

  1. On your dashboard, navigate to Configuration > Settings

  2. Click Students > Late Arrival & Early Leave

  3. Tick Reason Exact Match Required

  4. Refresh your Device using the Refresh Device icon at the top of the dashboard


Auto Offsite Checkin Time/Duration

If students forget to check back in after leaving early, we recommend enabling the Auto Offsite Check-In Time/Duration. This feature automatically checks students back in after a set time or duration, helping prevent a backlog in the Evacuation View.

To set up Auto Offsite Checkin Time/Duration, please see below:

  1. On your dashboard, navigate to Configuration > Settings

  2. Select Automation

  3. Tick Auto Offsite Checkin Time/Duration

  4. Enter your chosen Time or Duration

  5. Wait for the system to Autosave


Bromcom Users

If you are moving to or currently using Bromcom, please contact the Support team, as a required setting must be enabled for writeback to work correctly. The Support team may then ask you to follow the steps below to complete the setup.

  1. On your dashboard, hover over the icons of the left hand side to open the side menu and select Site

  2. Click Integrations

  3. Tick Use MIS Employee ID

  4. Select any employee from the dropdown


Arbor Users

If you were previously connected via Wonde and have recently moved across to Arbor, you’ll need to let us know so we can update your integration settings.

Please contact the support team at [email protected] to notify us of this change. This allows us to disconnect the old Wonde integration and ensure your Arbor connection is set up correctly.
