Assigning RFID fobs to Sixth Form Students
Assigning a fob or card to your sixth-form students is quick with e-Reception Book. Once your RFID reader is connected to the e-Reception Book, please follow the steps below:
1) Tap a new fob against the RFID reader device. You should hear a sound confirming that the device has read the fob/card but is currently unassigned.
2) The iPad will display a popup indicating that the fob needs to be assigned to an individual. Type the name of the sixth-form student in the search box and tap to assign.
3. Finally, tap the fob or card against the reader once more to finalise the assignment for that sixth form student.
Important: You can assign multiple fobs and access cards to one sixth form student. All you need to do is replicate the above steps per fob you wish to assign.
Once all fobs have been assigned, you will be able to view who is paired with a fob or card on your e-Reception Book dashboard underneath an individual sixth form student's name in the 'Students' section.
